- Music Therapy Sessions
Once goals are established, I come prepared with musical interventions and a general plan for each session. However, I remain flexible and responsive to each individual’s mood and energy on any given day. Often, a session may evolve in a different direction than initially planned, and I find that to be perfectly fine—sometimes it’s even wonderful. Therapy activities typically fall into two categories: active and passive. In active sessions, the patient creates music, while in passive sessions, the patient listens to music. Even listening becomes an active process in therapy, as we consistently work toward specific goals. Music serves as a valuable tool that helps patients achieve cognitive, physical, or emotional objectives. We also focus on how the skills learned in music therapy can be applied to daily life. I offer therapy sessions with a friendly and individualized holistic approach. My priority is to foster a safe and trusting relationship with my clients, allowing for a transformative healing experience through music. Together, we explore your journey at your own pace, emphasizing your body’s rhythms, movements, and inner feelings. I strive to empower individuals through the benefits of music therapy while adhering to ethical and HCPC guidelines.
